Senior Scientist and Laboratory Manager - Contract Services
Following completion of her PhD, Dr. Damen performed her post-doctoral training at the Terry Fox Laboratory in Vancouver BC. While at the Terry Fox Laboratory she characterized signal transduction pathways downstream of the mouse Eyrthropoietin Receptor and identified a novel signalling intermediate involved in the regulation of many hematopoietic pathways. Dr Damen then joined Chemokine Therapeutics as Director of Biology and initiated studies using mouse models to investigate hematopoietic modulation in response to synthetic compounds. She joined StemCell Technologies in January 2002 to optimise novel protein purification protocols. Dr. Damen then joined the Contract Services division as senior scientist and manager of laboratory affairs. Dr. Damen received her PhD in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the University of Manitoba, Canada.
