Katina Wong graduated from Simon Fraser University in 1998 with BSc in Cell and Molecular Biology. She worked at University of British Columbia in the Virology Department at St. Paul’s Hospital, a clinical lab where she was involved in processing patient blood specimens and running diagnostic tests for the presence of Hepatitis C and HIV. Here she also gained extensive experience in tissue culture and cell line maintenance. In 2000, she joined StemCell Technologies as a Technologist in the Quality Control Department where she was responsible for quality control testing of media products and for performing trouble-shooting experiments by setting up various CFC assays and scoring for hematopoietic and non-hematopoietic colonies. Katina joined the Contract Services Team in January 2006.
